Like literally cold feet, not as in I might be backing out of this IFV/FET business.
Winter seems to have finally arrived and my gosh it is cold! My feet are freezing. When I moved to Kentucky three years ago I splurged and purchased a pair of very non-sexy slippers. They were warm and made me happy, despite being a size too big and sloshing around my feet. Now that I’ve taken up running and spinning and other high-impact, angry knee type sports I find that sloshing slippers are just way too uncomfortable. I have tried going slipperless for the past week or so and the bunions are not having it. “Too Cold” they yell as I stand in the kitchen at 4:30 in the morning making my oatmeal.
So it is time for a new pair. My new slippers need to be comfy, non-sloshy, warm and hopefully ok to wear if I make a super quick a.m. run by the co-op. Yeah, I have no shame and would totally wear slippers to the co-op.
Turns out finding slippers that meet these criteria without spending $100 is surprisingly difficult. Seriously, who spends $100 on house shoes? (please realize I’m just majorly cheap and am secretly jealous of you people who have fashionable $100 slippers)
I am totally digging these in hot pink from Lands End and they are only $29.99. I am a little concerned that the sole might not hold up if I wear them on the deck outside, or, you know, to the co-op…
These have a better sole but only come in boring colors and at $39 they are a little pricey.
I find it hilarious that these are called “Romantic Soles.” Sorry, there is absolutely nothing romantic about house shoes, especially this pair!
I take that back, these might be the least sexy slippers I have ever seen. Suddenly the romantic soles don’t look so bad.
Now these are seriously cute. Not the moccasins that I had hoped for but serious potential. Little pricey, though.
What do you think? Do you have a favorite pair of slippers you would recommend? Do you think I’m ridiculous for spending time worrying about this? If so, you can refrain from commenting 🙂
