Quick Day 2 Fertilization Report
Notes on Day 2 update:
The lab grades embryos on a scale of 1 to 4 with 4 being the best, 1 being the worst.
We have 10 embryos that are at a grade 3 or 4, which is good and what the lab wants to see.
We have 6 embryos at a grade 2 which is not great, but they keep watching them cause sometimes they make a comeback.
We have 4 at a grade 1. There is slim hope for these guys. I bet these are the journalists in the group… Under. Achievers.
They will let them keep growing till day 5 or 6 when they become blastocysts and then will freeze them so those 10 good-looking ones have a LONG way to go in the petri dish still.
I’m so nervous for our embabies. I hope they are snuggly in the petri dishes and are not full of fear that they might not find their way to a warm ute. I promise each and every one of them that Mr. Husband and I will make sure they find a ute – be it mine or an adopting couple or a surrogate – and have a proper chance. Please keep growing!
