July 25

Belle

Halloween 2009. This is my favorite photo of us EVER. We were blue footed boobies for that year and even did the boobie mating dance. It was a hit and the only time in my entire life that people yelled “BOOBIES” at me 🙂

Y’all, this is really happening!

Mr. Husband’s defense is set for 2 p.m. on July 25. After 12 years of work he will finally have a Ph.D. in mathematics. Why did he choose math? Who the hell knows. His current response to these inquires is, “Yes, I am getting a Ph.D. in math and everyone hates my profession. I should have just been a dentist.”

Insane career choice aside, he is accomplishing one of his life goals and I could not be more proud!

I can’t wait to update the About Belle page with his good news 🙂

Very cute boobies :). Congrats to Mr. Husband, what an accomplishment! (PS – I am a tax accountant so I get the hate your profession thing – it works for us :))

You have a date!!! The defense is always a time for celebration and I’m so glad that you two have reached this point. I wish him nothing a flawless talk, lots of questions (though not too many) and a committee that’s willing to sign off immediately afterwards. And I wish you both a fun day of celebration!!

Love that photo! And hopefully the fact that everyone hates it means there’s not a lot of competition for the jobs!

    Congrats to Mr. Husband!

And I don’t hate math, though its not my favorite and technically a math class nearly prevented my from transfering to University, but I don’t hate it.

I’m glad someone out there likes it. 🙂

    Love the pic!

I was comparing hub-in-boots to a blue footed booby for quite a while. I even had a sequence of booby pictures that looked just like him putting on his pants in the morning! Love the mating dance xx
