Two embryos were transferred to my snuggly uterus this morning at 11:00 a.m. Two were thawed and both survived This time I did not ask for details on the embryos other than Dr. B’s report that they “both looked great!” I don’t need the nitty-gritty. Why? Because this is going to work no matter what. 🙂
This was my easiest transfer yet: I didn’t even feel the catheter go in. Had I not seen the ultrasound screen and the little spot of bright from the embryos I would have thought nothing had happened.
I had fully intended to take myself to lunch and then the conservatory but just felt this intense desire to go home – nothing but vegan sushi (no fish, don’t worry) and a jar of kimchi sounded good and the thought of wandering around the flowers after such a perfect and painless transfer seemed, well, risky. So I drove on home and just finished a simple lunch in the comfort of my own dining room. Now to entertain myself until the husband comes home from work and we can make my birthday dinner together (vegan chili, GF cornbread and cookies). I’ll be sure to write more tomorrow. For now, though, I’m going to go commune with my babies.
