The chicken has a head

After all that fussing and worrying and fretting about my symptoms going away and the stabbing pains and the blood and blah blah blah we see that the Chicken is just fine, growing right on schedule and now has a head that actually LOOKS like a head. And little nubbin arm and legs. It looks a lot like a gummy bear. So hard to believe this will turn into a baby in time.

We just got back from Cinci and running final Thanksgiving errands and are going to settle in and rest- the Professor with a hard earned beer and me with a big glass of orange juice. I’ll post much more in the morning (I signed up for ICLW for the first time in AGES). Thank you yet again for your support and love. We appreciated it so much.

Lol, I should have known everything was good, today brought more poo-ventures to share with you, so you can look forward to your own.

  3. November 20, 2012

of course he/she does :). Just you wait, this will be your take home baby. SO happy for you guys. Might want to get one of them dopplers in a few weeks, it helps with the panic attacks until babe starts moving.

I hesitate to say I told you so… But I TOLD YOU SO! yay chicken, yay belle, yay professor. Live it up baby. ENJOY this pregnancy. Celebrate it. Tell people “too early”. It’s a stupid taboo anyway. Embrace every one of those weeks. Each one is bringing your chicken more chicken bits and closer to a happy healthy arrival.

    • November 20, 2012

I have never ever been happier to have someone say “I told you so!” πŸ™‚ I am going to embrace this now. This is my chicken and I love it dearly!

That’s wonderful! It’s amazing how quickly they grow and transform into babies having started out looking like little grains of rice. I totally agree that they look like a gummy bear at that stage! Go little Chicken, go! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

  25. November 20, 2012

WooHoo! Love the news and update!
Now back to sleep for me. πŸ˜‰

Oh Belle, I’m so happy to hear this. I’ve been checking your site on every pee break today (sorry, as a nurse there isn’t a lot of time to log in). Keep cookin’ little chicken. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

  28. November 20, 2012

Hooray!!!! Doing happy dance on this end! Grow little chicken, GROW!

  29. November 21, 2012

Oh, Belle, I’m so relieved and happy for you! I have felt really good about this one and just know this is your take-home chicky! Happy Thanksgiving to you and The Prof!!! xoxo

  30. November 21, 2012

Wonderful news! Congratulations on a happily growing babe (or chicken), and happy ICLW-ing!

  31. November 21, 2012

Lol, please stop worrying now and start enjoying the puking πŸ™‚

    • November 21, 2012

It would be SO MUCH EASIER if I was actually puking! I actually have VERY mild symptoms and often forget I’m even pregnant. I guess you can’t win: you worry if you are sick and you worry if you are not sick.

      • November 21, 2012

clear your head, let go. Have a happy thanksgiving πŸ™‚

  32. November 21, 2012

This is such great news to find in my reader. Yay for Chicken and it’s lil head!

  33. November 21, 2012

Oh, thank GOD. I was obsessively checking in yesterday. What an amazing way to kick off Thanksgiving. Woo hoooo!!!

  34. November 21, 2012

Yay little gummy bear Chicken! πŸ˜€ You know I still have all the ultrasounds of the babies, even the first one at 6w where they just look like beans. We have them on the fridge. It’s pretty nuts to see those little beans and see our babies all at the same time, it kind of blows my mind. THEY TURN INTO REAL PEOPLE. WEIRD!!!!!!

  35. November 21, 2012

Like I said before, celebrate the little things. Each week. Don’t think it’s stupid or that you are going to jinx things because you can’t! The weeks start to go by so fast and you should take in every minute! Every pull and pinch cheer your little chicken on! Lots of love and Hugz to the three of you and your cats!

I’m thrilled for you! What a wonderful Thanksgiving this will be for you.

  37. November 22, 2012

Whew. I totally get it and will probably be the same way when I (hopefully) get pregnant again.

Hope your night is relaxing and mild!

  38. November 22, 2012

Mild? What a weird thing to wish on someone…. Hahaha. But you know what I mean. Mild, eg not worrying!
