Source. I’d sure like some morning mood toast.

I’m still sticking with this gluten-free thing part for my eye disease and part for the Chicken. So far it’s been pretty easy. Sure, I miss ordering pasta when I eat out. I also REALLY miss my vegan date bars from the co-op. And oh dear God some days I would move heaven and earth for a vegan gluten-free cupcake. Otherwise it’s pretty easy being gluten-free with my already limited allergen diet.

The one thing that is glaringly missing from my life, though, is good toast. I mean nice, thick, crunchy whole grain toast that Earth Balance buttery spread eases into and organic raspberry jam floats over.

Excuse me while I wipe drool from my mouth.

Yesterday I ran by Whole Paycheck (Whol.e Fo.ods) and was saddened when my usual GF bread was out. Being the tired, cranky pregnant woman I am, I decided to grab whatever bread they had rather than hit another store. And so I picked this up:

Oh my gosh, y’all, this is the best damned GF bread I have EVER had! It’s sorta full of science, but at this point in my restricted diet life I’ll take it.

So yeah, that is my earth-shattering announcement. I found a GF bread that makes amazing toast. That’s all. Happy Sunday 🙂

    Haha, science is good! But obviously I’m biased. 🙂 Funny, I’m on the exact same mission, having just started to reduce gluten in my diet too… the bread is the hardest; I’m doing this rice bread right now and it’s horrible. Dry and crumbly. We have Glutino cereal here in Toronto but I don’t think I’ve ever seen this bread. Maybe I’ll ask my grocery store to look into it. The cravings I get for a sweet white baguette are kinda insane, and I’m not even preggo yet!

    I used to have a wheat intolerance so I can totally relate. I used to make my own with a bread machine as at the time there was little foods out there you could buy from the shops.

    Dude! That is my BREAD! I’m telling you, best gluten-free bread out there, hands down. I couldn’t live without it! So, I feel ya 🙂

    I went gluten free last week so will keep my eye out for this on my next shopping trip. I miss toast so! Now if only I could find a GF pasta that doesn’t make me want to hurl.

      Oh oh oh! Find the Quinoa pasta! It’s good and not too squishy like the rice!

    YAY for finding good bread. I remember how difficult it was when the Hubby was eating gluten free. I think they have more choices now, that wasn’t out. I tried baking it from scratch and it came out good, but the best one we found was a quick mix from gluten free pantry brand called favorite sandwich bread mix. We found corn pasta had the closest texture to regular.
