I’m still sticking with this gluten-free thing part for my eye disease and part for the Chicken. So far it’s been pretty easy. Sure, I miss ordering pasta when I eat out. I also REALLY miss my vegan date bars from the co-op. And oh dear God some days I would move heaven and earth for a vegan gluten-free cupcake. Otherwise it’s pretty easy being gluten-free with my already limited allergen diet.
The one thing that is glaringly missing from my life, though, is good toast. I mean nice, thick, crunchy whole grain toast that Earth Balance buttery spread eases into and organic raspberry jam floats over.
Excuse me while I wipe drool from my mouth.
Yesterday I ran by Whole Paycheck (Whol.e Fo.ods) and was saddened when my usual GF bread was out. Being the tired, cranky pregnant woman I am, I decided to grab whatever bread they had rather than hit another store. And so I picked this up:
Oh my gosh, y’all, this is the best damned GF bread I have EVER had! It’s sorta full of science, but at this point in my restricted diet life I’ll take it.
So yeah, that is my earth-shattering announcement. I found a GF bread that makes amazing toast. That’s all. Happy Sunday 🙂
