My little Orange Triangle Cat, Newton, will be leaving us after baby is born. My parents, who will be here for the birth/extraction, will be taking her home with them. I’m filled with conflicting emotions about this. Lately she has seemed much happier and there have been fewer pet politics. I’ve also been going above and beyond to give all the cats extra love and attention and I know that once Chicken comes home I will not have as much time to dedicate to them. I’ve been trying to enjoy my little Triangle as much as I can before she leaves. She is really a delight and I can say with absolute certainty that our household will not be the same without her silliness.
I am so thankful that my parents are able to give her a good home and am really happy that I’ll get to visit her when we go to Alabama. I hope that she brings as much squeaky fun to their house as she does to ours.
The above video is from two weekends ago when I was scrubbing the grout in the kitchen (notice the difference between the new floor in the sun room where Newton is playing and the old grout in the kitchen? Baking soda plus whitening toothpaste and about three hours of intense scrubbing really pays off!) The Professor had spent the past two weeks working on the floor out there so the cats were banned. This was the first day it was opened back up to them and Newton was IN HEAVEN playing with her mouse on the fresh tile.
