Sabine: 15 weeks

10/22/2013

Belle

I did not do a great job of photographing Sabine last week! We actually did lots of fun and exciting things, too, but alas, no good pictures. So Instead I have some fall NYC photos and a few not so stellar Sabine pictures that show some of her favorite things this week!

We went to the New York Botanical Gardens in Bronx and slept through it.

Since baby was sleeping, Mama got to play with her camera for the first time in a long while. She is a little rusty and did not get a lot of winning shots.

I was surprised to learn that these are native to NY! Carnivores!

The Bronx features black squirrels due to inbreeding. My brother and I have a very non-PC joke regarding these squirrels… “Why are the Bronx squirrels black? Because they got gentrified out of Manhattan.” I know… terrible. But you have to admit it is funny in a warped way!

Our new favorite chew toy is Mama’s finger. I’d rather this than Mama’s nipple, though!

We are working on holding our toy and passing it from left to right hand and then to mouth. It takes a lot of concentration but BOY does she look happy with herself when she can pick it up and move it around on her own. My independent little lady.

We napped in our lamby swing… but never in the crib.

Today we are FIGHTING the naps in everything BUT the stroller. Sigh. I guess all the walking will help offset all the carbs I devour when sleep deprived!

Man, I miss NY. Those shots are gorgeous! That baby is gorgeous! Ug. I hear you on the fighting naps. We’ve fought naps every day of our 10 week old life! Thank goodness for stroller naps or we’d have almost none. Our crib has cobwebs 🙂 Ya’ll are doing great!
