Blog Content Survey

Belle

When I started this blog I was working a corporate job that had LOTS of downtime. I easily had three hours a day to write, edit, prepare photos and post. It seems being a full-time mom, though, is much more work than any of my recent jobs. I think being at home with Sabine is a lot more like being a news reporter – I was always on the go, scrambling to make deadlines, staying late to finish and get the paper to press. Today I’m always on the go taking Sabine out to socialize, play, run errands, etc. We scramble to finish the day’s chores and get dinner on the table. I stay up late to finish the day’s tasks or, just to sit on the couch for an hour and finally breathe. It is easily more than a full-time job.

All of this to say that almost 11 months into motherhood I’m still having a hard time fitting blogging time into my schedule. I also spend a lot of time writing and deleting posts because I’m not entirely set on my new “voice” here. Parenting after infertility is a weird area to be in both life and blog. Esperanza posted a reader survey last week and got a lot of great information to help her blog better suit her readers. I participated and was so happy when I saw things that I suggested actually put into action. I felt part of something bigger and it made me all warm and fuzzy inside. I want you to feel part of something bigger, too, and I want to hear how you feel about parenting after infertility blogs in general!

Below is a survey that I would love you to fill out. It’s quick and will really help me structure Scrambled Eggs to best suit my audience. Thank you in advance for your help and I look forward to reading your responses!

Cheers,

Belle & Crew

Argh I just completed my survey but it accidentally submitted before I finished. What I was saying at the end is that your blog is awesome and reading it is part of my own “bedtime routine.” I feel sad when I have no posts on my feed to read (especially the high quality ones).

Just finished the survey. Can’t wait for you to share the results.

What a great idea! If I ever find time to figure out how to do a survey, I may follow suit. Time…so little of it!

Oh, and thanks for including the one about length. I really appreciate it!

Now I want to steal this idea!! I seriously feel like I have the boringest blog ever. That’s because I really just started it as a journal and never thought anyone would read it (hoped they would but didn’t really think that would happen) really and now they do and I have no idea why because it’s so boring and I feel bad for making them read it lol. But that’s ok because it’s still a journal more than anything.

That looks like a lovely trip! Beautiful park.

I don’t have an Ergo but I never use the stroller and rely on a variety of carriers instead. The one I use the most is a Tula. Super comfortable and really easy to do either a front or back carry in.
Baby Bjorns are so uncomfortable! I hope for your sake you’ll get a new carrier soon! (awesome excuse to go shopping :))
    Good luck with your exams!
