Open House

It’s been a while, hasn’t it? Since my last post we have been spending every waking hour preparing our apartment to sell. From the major renovation of the bathroom, to the nit-picky polishing of the kitchen sink nothing was left undone. I also rented a storage unit and packed about 1/4 of our possessions away so the apartment feels light, airy and there is no risk of a potential buyer being crushed to death when hiking gear and baby toys fall from the closets!

Last Friday a professional photographer came by to photograph it in all it’s clean, polished splendor. I am absolutely obsessed with the photos – everything is so fresh and perfectly styled!

Our agent is holding an open house today and tomorrow. Fingers crossed we get an offer quickly! More next week on the renovations, selling process and moving plans!

Wow! It all looks really gorgeous. I wish I could live there! And I don’t know how the market is in your area, but here, homes for sale are being fought over and going soooo quickly, all above the asking price. I hope that’s how it works out for you!

It’s totally awesome. I know you spoke of just trying to minimize in general. Wouldn’t it be nice to live with an a place that looked that sparce most of the time? 🙂 Is that even possible with a kid?!?!? I don’t know. But every time I see open house photos I think, man, all the things people to do get their house ready to sell and it looks so awesome, why didn’t they do that before?! We have so much to do in our own home, not just decluttering but just fixing things that need to be fixed!!! Why don’t we just do it now?!
